A: Jeree Recording has recorded many local and national artists over the years.
Our most notable clients who have been at Jeree Recording
are Donnie Iris, B.E. Taylor, Pure Gold, Wild Cherry, McFuzz, Billy Price, G-Force (The Granati Brothers), Q, The Distractions,
WQED Television, Chandler, The Corbin-Hanner Band, Maureen McGovern, Modern Man, Iron City House Rockers, Norman Nardini,

and Glenn Burtnik of Styx. Most recently, Jeree Recording has been involved in the location recording and post production of the PBS
"American Soundtrack and "My Music" series of concerts.
Q: How Much Does It Cost to Record an Album Or Demo Project?
A: This a question we are asked most often and rightly so. Because Jeree Recording
offers many choices for Your project, It's difficult to make an exact quote according to Your specific needs. However, We suggest allowing 2 to 3 hours per track, in multitrack projects, for
recording, overdub and mixdown provided Your tracks are well rehearsed prior to coming in. It may be more or less depending on Your project.
Q: I'm Doing Sequenced Tracks, What Is Involved In This Type Of Recording?
A: These type of tracks are used quite often in Rap, Dance, House and Techno. Jeree Recording
has the ability to record Your tracks. Our 480 point patch bay and input flexibility can accomodate Your needs. In Hip Hop music
especially, It is recommended that You have Your "Beat Production" ready to go prior to coming in. If You need "Beat Production",
We can suggest sources for having this type of work done for You.
Q: What Is The Best Way Record Our Album Or Demo Project?
A: In the recording process, We find it best to record Your rhythym tracks first and a "Scratch Vocal" as it will build the foundation
for Your track. In the overdub process, The Lead Vocals, Background Vocals, Lead Guitar or Keyboards can be added in this process as
the rhythym tracks will act as the guide.
Q: Can I Record Using Backing Tracks?
A: Yes You can. Jeree Recording
can accomodate this type of recording. Though most pre-recorded backing
are recorded on cassette, There are tracks widely available on CD. We recommend using tracks on CD vs cassette due to the process that pre-
recorded tapes are produced.
Q: Is Jeree Recording Digital or Analog?
A: At Jeree Recording, We offer the best of both Analog and Digital Mutitrack recording. As recording
technologies continue to advance in both the Analog and Digital domains, We remain committed to serving our new and established clients with
the best sound they want and come to to expect time after time, session after session.
Q: I Have My Songs Written But Nobody To Play Them, What Do I Do?
A: Jeree Recording uses only the top Studio Musicians and Singers in the Pittsburgh area.
Thier ability to take Your songs and record them is unequalled in the region. Call us for a quote and more information on this
service.
Q: Our Tracks Are Ready To Mix, What's The Next Step?
A: Jeree Recording welcomes all band members to be present during the "mixdown" of Your project,
It's suggested that Your band designates a member of the group to be the "Voice" of the group and make suggestions of the other members.
Q: What Is The Best Format to Use For Mix Masters?
A: Jeree Recording has the ability to record Your mix masters to CDR, 1/4" Analog and even some obsolete formats
such as DAT, Mini-Disc and Cassette. Even though Mini-Disc is a digital format, We do not recommend this format because of the data compression which is involved. We also have the ability to export from our RADAR digital
multitrack recorders Broadcast Wave Files (.bwf files) for use in Pro-Tools rigs. We suggest you supply us with the bit resolution (24 bit, 16bit) time code and sampling rates so the files are compatible with what you may already have.
I Recorded My Tracks Elsewhere, Can I Overdub or Mix At Jeree Recording?
A: Jeree Recording can accomodate this provided that Your multitrack master is recorded on 2" Analog tape. Our
multitrack recorders are aligned for Quantegy GP-9. We can make the necessary adjustments on our machines for overdubs using other 2" formulations.
We suggest You provide enough time prior to Your session for us to make the adjustments if You are using a different tape formulation.
Also, Because of the updated analog technology utilized in our recorders. We do not use Dolby or DBX noise reduction. Please make sure
that Your 2" multitrack master is not encoded using Dolby or DBX noise reduction.
If You recorded Your tracks on other Analog or Digital Formats, We ask that You make the necessary arrangements to bring Your machine with You (If You
recorded it in your home or project studio.) or rent the machine necessary to complete Your project needs. We will work with You as much as possible
on this for finding sources for machine rental. Additional charges may apply for this technical assistance. Also, With the addition of our new Otari
Radar Digital Mulitrack system. We can import various files real time via Steinberg Cubase SX-3 or Adobe Audition 2.0 so you can work with them. We
suggest 24 bit Broadcast Wave Files recorded at 48k sampling and 29.97DF time code for the optimum sonic integrity and sync compatibility.
